The WABA Commitment and Mission

The West Atlanta Business Alliance (WABA) is committed to robust, high-value growth and economic vitality on the Westside. Through partnerships with local businesses and government, WABA will enhance the safety, general appearance, and suitability for owners and businesses in West Atlanta. WABA seeks to create a positive environment by building relationships among business owners and local government in West Atlanta to address common problems that impact our community – the primary focuses being: 

• Safety & Security Enhancements 

• Beautification of West Atlanta

• Retaining and Promoting the Growth of Existing Businesses

• Attracting New Businesses to the Area

• Promoting Infrastructure Improvements

By creating and promoting a progressive alliance of local businesses, WABA provides a cohesive platform that will bolster our strength and power through collaboration. A stimulated community will serve as a catalyst for the West Atlanta economy that is poised to rapidly grow and develop. Through the promotion of the arts, culture, intelligent infrastructure improvements, accessibility, walkability, community engagement, and a progressive approach to West Atlanta’s growth, WABA will fervently pursue a better future for the Westside of Atlanta. 

WABA’s Territory is sandwiched north of I-20 inside the 285 Western corridor. Businesses located inside WABA’s boundaries will be able to apply for membership.

MISSION STATEMENT 

The West Atlanta Business Alliance’s (WABA) mission is to provide equal representation to business owners on the Westside of Atlanta as it continues to grow and develop. WABA will serve as a steward of the West Atlanta community that will advocate for intelligent growth and an equitable, sustainable future for West Atlanta.

WABA affords local for-profit businesses the opportunity to collaborate and create a unified front to drive accountability in the public process and to impact the rapidly developing landscape of West Atlanta. WABA aims to be an organization officially-recognized by the City of Atlanta that is independent of any neighborhood associations – recognizing this goal will formalize a desperately-needed representative voice for the West Atlanta business community, in order to better influence the outcomes of our community’s transformation.

WABA’s approach to the development of Westside ATL will also focus on intelligent infrastructure improvements that will make sidewalks, crosswalks, and worn down or missing sewer covers and utility poles a priority.

MERCEDES - Benz stadium - the economic jewel of atlanta’s westside

The newly constructed Mercedes-Benz stadium brings much traffic and economic stability as it sits on the edge of Westside Atlanta. WABA recognizes that this venue has and will create many more opportunities for Westside businesses to take full advantage of the more than 120 events yearly at this beautiful world class facility.
